Possum - Southridge Lil Minx

Possum is my (Victoria) best friend and partner in crime.  Over the past 13 years we have been on many adventures together and we are rarely apart. 

She is slowing down now after two cruciate repairs but it doesn’t stop her thinking she is still a young dog.  We have to be very careful now as she has always been a direct route type of dog so if there is a tall drop between you and her she will take the path of least resistance to get where she is going.  I have never had a dog make me squeeze my eyes closed and hold my breath as much.  Luckily she generally bounces and knows how to land.

Possum is a very fun dog, water mad, running mad and actually stock mad.  She does have a degree of eye but she does sheep the same way she does life, full bore and could never be convinced otherwise.  It has been a standing joke for many years that if you needed a mob 5km up the road in the next 30 minutes, she’s your girl.  Strangely nobody has ever taken me up on that offer 😉

She has a gorgeous personality and fits in anywhere she goes.  She absolutely loves long distance travel and from a young age would hop in the ute, settle in and sleep the entire distance Te Anau to Blenheim with little want to be disturbed, completely opposite of her general personality of lets go, go, go.

Poss had a single litter in 2014 but otherwise has not really been a breeding dog.
