Litters 2024/2025

All Southridge and Getawayback puppies are raised in an encouraging environment where we promote happy, healthy, receptive, well adjusted puppies through interactive play, socialisation and an enrichment process. Many hours go into raising puppies to a high standard and owners are encouraged to be a large part of this process, hence our home is open to those on our puppy lists from 3-8 weeks for visits, however, we do understand that location of owners often precludes this, so luckily for those of you who can't visit, I take lots of photos! This is not a business, we breed to get puppies for ourselves so we do expect some consideration to the fact this is our home.

Our puppies all leave home with Dogs NZ registration (endorsed not to be bred unless agreed specifically), 6 weeks free puppy insurance, blanket, numerous toys, food sample, information sheets on nutrition, grooming, training, health and a private contract with specific conditions regarding health, behaviour, rehoming and a written health guarantee.

All owners will be required to sign this contract or a variation of this if main registration is agreed.  As we appreciate the value of a good working dog, different conditions will apply to those in those in real working homes.

Madog Mot x Southridge Last Try Miss Fly - due August 2024

Fly has now been AI’d to Cai Pritchard Welsh dog Madog Mot. Pups due mid August if she takes.  We are still taking names for this AI litter. Mot is son of Aled Owens Int Sup and World trial champ Bob. These 2 will produce big engines and a want to work. I envisage they will make good solid hill country dogs with a lot of stamina but will be equally happy on smaller blocks. Some may be suited to trial.

Fly has an above average trainability, from the beginning of training it took just 50 minutes to put rough mob sides and a stop on her. The same for domestic training, she masters any behaviour in seconds. She is hard running with grit.

Working homes preferred. Sporting homes will be considered only where the handler is experienced with working border collies and where an understanding of exercise appropriate for a working bred dog exists. These are not slouch about, cotton wool dogs.

Fly is MDD full panel clear, PennHip .36, elbows 0:0. Mot is clear on the Laboklin ISDS panel however is not hip scored.

Available in NZ and for export to approved countries.

All enquiries are welcome.

Tess (Southridge on Point) will be AI'd to Dewi Jenkins 2022 International Supreme Trial Champion and 2023 International Reserve Champion Jock mid 2025. The pups will be very intense and powerful dogs that will work well on the hill or flat and will be suited to trials. I expect easy training, excellent drive for performance sport with good robust structure and movement. Pups from this litter will be available for export to working and performance homes only. Tess is clear of all the current MyDogDNA panel, she is PennHip Scored with favourable results of .25/.32. Jock is DNA tested clear on the full MyDogDNA Panel, and NCL5 clear on the Laboklin ISDS panel.  Jock has been recently hip scored, results pending.  Pups will be smooth coat with a possibility of rough. This litter will be GetAwayBack. This is a repeat mating and the previous litter are training well showing good instinct, calm natures and an easy train.
